This traditional "Rebozo" or shall/carrying cloth from Cotzal is made in the typical style with a red background with black, white, teal green and purple stripes, all typical colors for such rebozos from this town. It is common to see local women carrying this type of all-purpose cloth with them at all times. The edges feature intricate knotting to protect from fraying while adding an extra element of design. This particular rebozo is the perfect size to be used as a shawl, throw or even table runner (or all 3!). Rayon thread (processed cellulose) makes this cloth silky smooth.
